Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has increased children’s gadget use and raised concerns about
addictive behaviors and their psychological impacts. This study aims to analyze psychological factors
contributing to gadget addiction tendencies, including self-control, emotional regulation, the need for social
acceptance, and levels of stress and anxiety. The research employed a quantitative approach through a literature
review of relevant empirical studies. The findings indicate that low self-control, poor emotional regulation, high
stress, and a strong need for social validation significantly contribute to gadget addiction tendencies. These
results emphasize the importance of digital literacy and emotional regulation in preventing gadget addiction
among children.
